Recipe: The Simply Nourished Smoothie

I’ve been on the search for the perfect smoothie for years now and this is it. It’s got protein, fat, fiber, and greens and it’s delicious. It’s the best way to start your day.

Serves 1 

Ingredients: 

1 cup of almond milk - best brands are Malk & Elmhurst 

1/4 cup frozen raspberries 

1/4 cup frozen blueberries

1/2 frozen banana

Handful of spinach

1-2 tbsp of peanut butter or nut butter of your choice

1 scoop of chocolate protein powder - favorite brand is Taylor Dukes Wellness 

1 tbsp of chia seeds (could substitute with ground flax seed or hemp hearts for source of omega 3s) 

1/2 tsp of vanilla extract (optional)

A couple ice cubes

Directions: 

  1. Put all ingredients in blender and blend on high speed until smooth

  2. Pour into cup and enjoy!
